Official hashtag for this virtual tweetup celebrating the 4 year anniversary of the first NASA Tweetup (January 21, 2009 at @NASAJPL ) is: #NASASocial4yrs

What follows is a loose agenda. You can either follow it as Eastern Time, use it to guide your tweeting in your local time zone, or merely use the different topics as idea prompts and tweet whenever you are able.

• Note: in the agenda, NASASocial, NASATweetup, Social, Tweetup, etc. are kind of used interchangeably. We all know it means the same thing unless explicitly stated :-)
  • Other Note: RogueTweetups can/should be included where appropriate as it's a legacy of the NASATweetups as well.

Loose Agenda for the Virtual Tweetup January 21, 2013

• All-Day:
  • Wear a Tweetup/Social/NASA shirt, cap, etc. in public.
  • Display Tweetup/Social/NASA swag at work (if you're working)
  • Change your avatar to the NASA "meatball" logo or @NASASocial  version (feel free to use the custom #NASASocial4yrs graphic to use -- that's what it was created for!)
  • Add to the nasatweet.com community wiki -- forgotten blog posts, photo sets, videos, etc. that never got added! Let's make sure this historical resource is up to date!

• 9:00am
  • Tweet/post picture of yourself wearing your Tweetup/Social/NASA stuff
  • Share a favorite moment from a Tweetup/Social

• 10:00am
  • Share pictures of your "cool bus" at a Tweetup/Social. (As @nutzareus  would say, "obligatory bus shots", ha!)
  • Share your first impressions at your first Tweetup/Social

• 11:00am
  • Share pictures of your badges from Tweetups/Socials ("obligatory badge shots," ha)
  • The entire NASA Team works very hard to put on awesome events for us, and don't forget the JPL Team (spearheaded by Veronica McGregor, @VeronicaMcG , and the rest of the @NASAJPL  team) who put on this VERY FIRST Tweetup we're celebrating! Use this time to tweet your appreciation for Veronica & the rest of the NASA team!
    Here's a list of some of the many folks you should thank: @VeronicaMcG , @yembrick , @jtowns , @bnjacobs , @BethBeck , @Stephist , @CourtOConnor , @Schierholz , @NASA_TV , @nasahqphoto , and many others.

  • Talk about experiences with food/lunches/meals/etc. at a Tweetup/Social! How were logistics AWESOME at the event you experienced?
  • Share a favorite interview you've done related to a #NASASocial / #NASATweetup.

  • Share about your excitement meeting a @celebrity or @astro at Tweetup/Social
  • Hashtag game: #OnlyAtANASASocial

  • Share a favorite video from/related to a Tweetup/Social
  • Share about an AWESOME friendship you made as the result of a Tweetup/Social

• 3:00pm
  • Share pictures of yourself with a spacecraft and/or with the infamous KSC Countdown Clock (because anyone who has been to KSC has like 1,000 pics of that thing! Admit it!)
  • Share about how awesome the behind the scenes access is through Tweetups/Socials

• 4:00pm
  • Share some unique fact/experience you learned at a Tweetup/Social (we learn SO MUCH I bet there will be plenty of these!)
  • Share about a Rogue Social/ #RogueTweetup/ unofficial gathering you were involved in because you were so excited to attend an event even if you didn't officially get in!

• 5:00pm
  • Share your group photos from a Tweetup/Social!!!
  • Hashtag game: #NextNASASocial - this one can be serious, as in topics for future programs... or funny, as in "at #TheNextNASASocial we'll be tweeting from Mars." - Get creative! Have fun!

• 6:00pm
  • Share about how "life after NASASocial"/NASATweetup has been impacted by the event you attended

• 7:00pm
  • Share memories of Tweetup & Social firsts -- first tweetup to go in VAB, see RSS retract, tour OPF, tour a wind tunnel, have an orbiter land in front of them (from orbit or piggybacked -- both have happened at Tweetups/Socials!)

• 8:00pm
  • Share some original music/art/poetry/prose/blog posts/LEGO models/projects/etc. inspired by NASA/NASASocial/NASATweetup
  • Encourage your followers to follow the NASA accounts: Twitter @NASA  accounts, Facebook (NASA, CamilloSDO, etc.,) Google+ (NASA), etc., and provide links

• 9:00pm
  • Share a picture of a friend you've made at a Tweetup/Social
  • Share fun memory of your roomies, condos, house-sharing, etc. at a Tweetup/Social (this should be a good one...)

• 10:00pm to Midnight
  • Finish up the night with memories from your first Tweetup/Social and how many Tweetups/Socials/Rogues/etc. you've attended (include names if you can! Refer to NASA Social on Wikipedia if you need to refresh your memory!)
